Personally, we are trying to set aside 'afternoon movie time with popcorn' at least twice a week. This will get the kids excited about something to do that is scheduled with other members inthe family.

I've compiled a list of 5 movies that you can possibly get in Netflix or on any streaming media that you can watch together.

Here is a list I’ve compiled in 2020 to help you have on hand to show you kids during movie session time or when you feel like they deserve some screen time.

1. Cinderella by Disney - there are so many versions of this movie everywhere! But the main message in this movie is show kindness. Cinderella was shown resentment and unkind Behavior towards here form her step sisters and her step mother. Eventually we learn that Cinderella gets everything she deserves since she’s always been kind in her life.

2. Shrek - this movie is all about being kind. Shrek is shown to be an angry ogre who is mostly isolated because he doesn't like people. He is seen to be hated too, this is interesting as kids can relate to this. They see that if he's not nice to people, that people will not want to hang out with him. As the movie progresses of course, he becomes the hero. Saving the princess and eventually falling in love. Such great themes in this movie!

3. Beauty & the Beast - this movie is a classical tale that any child (of any age) can relate to and love. The beast is an uncaring and superficial person until he is cast as a beast. He must learn to love again and only then can the spell be broken. Such a wonderful tale, there are also re-made movies based on this theme which children can also watch.

4. Up - such a sweet movie about how we can be kind to others even though they aren't kind to us. Also a very classical tale.

5. Wonder - this is a classical move (not animation) on being kind to others even though they may not look like us. This is based on a classical and successful novel too. Younger kids can watch the movie though, they will love it, it's definitely a tear jerker though.
